Clancy before he was transferred by ambulance to Clonmel Hospital where he died later that day. \nThe walk will be led by Local Historian Michael Desmond. \nThe walk has an elevation gain of 383m and has a continuous incline after leaving Houlihan’s before levelling out on the approach to the Monument. The route crosses a number of way marked trails including the Knockmealdown Way\, The Liam Lynch Loop Walk and the East Munster Way. The terrain is mostly forest trails and paths before joining the public road near Skeaghatooreen. \nThere will be 2 route options:\nShorter Route:- 6km – Walkers on this route will be picked up by bus as soon as they reach the Melleray Road. This Walk will take approx 2-2.5hours \nLonger Route:- 11.5km– Walkers on this route will continue to follow the road Lynch was transported on back to Nugents Pub.
