General Liam Lynch just had his automatic pistol on him in the shootout in Crohan Newcastle, this was taken by his comrades before the Soldiers captured Liam, as possession of any firearm was punishably by execution during the Civil War.He also owned a Lee Enfield rifle captured from the British.He did not have the rifle with him on the day he was shot and it is now in the National Museum of Ireland in Dublin, along with the uniform he had on. Etched into the rifle is his name Gen Liam Lynch C.S. IRA also is a skull and crossbones which we believe is the cap badge of 17th/21st Lancers of the British Army.
