We just received into our possession today the Irish Volunteer hat of Bill Houlihan it is over 100 years old. Bill was one of the scouts for Liam Lynch on the 10th of April and whose house they were having breakfast at when they had to escape encirclement ,not in the best of condition but totally original. His grandniece Bridget Breen née Houlihan gave it to us on loan she had got it from John O’Leary Knockballinira who had it in his care .All memorabilia will be on show Easter Weekend in Newcastle .If you have any we would appreciate if you could loan it to us all memorabilia will be minded and securely stored.
