On the 4th April 1923 Liam Lynch, Frank Aiken and Sean Hyde left “Katmandu” safehouse, near Mullinahone, to head for Araglin and the Executive meeting on the 10th of April.
Jim O’Brien of Ballylanigan later recounted when he met Liam, Liam was carrying a loose bundle of books. Jim took the bundle and tied them up with a small belt. Jim brought them to Ninemilehouse.
They continued South crossing the Suir near Glenn.
