Tipperary Book Launch of Gerard Shannon’s new book “Liam Lynch – To Declare a Republic”

We are delighted to announce that as part of our General Liam Lynch Centenary Weekend that we will host the Tipperary Book Launch of Gerard Shannon’s new book “Liam Lynch – To Declare a Republic” which will be launched by Mattie McGrath TD, Chairman of the Newcastle Liam Lynch Memorial Committee.

In ‘Liam Lynch: To Declare a Republic’, the first major biography of General Liam Lynch in nearly forty years, historian Gerard Shannon utilises a wide array of archival material to create a fascinating portrait of this hugely significant and influential figure in Irish history.

Gerard will be joining us here in Newcastle Community Hall on Easter Saturday at 7:30pm for the Tipperary launch of his book where he will give a brief historical talk on the Life of Liam Lynch following which we will be joined by the Burncourt Drama Group for an evening of Music, Song and Story.

Signed copies of his book will be available on the night.
